These sites include: YAXCHILAN, PALENQUE, CHICHEN ITZA, XPUHIL and COPAN as well as many others in Chiapas, Yucatan, Quintana Roo, in Mexico and Mayan structures in Guatemala and Belize.
The fascinating Maya civilization has been of interest to many a scholar, archaeologist, epigrapher and traveler, and has been a creative inspiration to artists, photographers and writers.
